Egg Nog Cocktail

Let's face it; we've all had bad Egg Nog before. Store-bought or homemade, it's hard to find a Nog with the right amount of sweetness, creaminess and booziness. It is a delicate balance, after all, just like any cocktail, and this Egg Nog is right on target. Warm spice and notes of vanilla give depth to the creamy richness of this holiday treat!

A recipe easy to execute at home, you might be treating yourself all winter long...

Egg Nog Cocktail

Makes 6-8 servings:

  • 3oz spiced rum
  • 3oz dry sherry
  • 4 eggs
  • 12oz whole milk
  • 8oz heavy cream
  • 6oz white granulated sugar

Beat eggs until uniform .

Slowly whisk in sugar until fully dissolved

Continue to whisk and slowly add milk, then cream

Add rum, then sherry

Chill overnight

Serve in chilled glass and garnish with grated nutmeg
